Nicholas Blondell is a theatre artist, storyteller, and educator based in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area.

Raised in Santa Barbara, California by an international theatre director and professional dancer, Nicholas grew up surrounded by the arts. As a child, he traveled throughout Europe and Asia with his family and was captivated by the collaborative processes he witnessed in his father’s rehearsals.

It didn’t take long for Nicholas to enter the theatre arts himself.

After performing in countless productions in high school, Nicholas moved to the East Coast where he studied theatre at Gordon College. While at Gordon, Nicholas continued to finetune his acting skills and made his directorial debut with a production of Romeo & Juliet.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts, Nicholas directed his first professional production: a new play entitled Two Points off the Weather Bow with History Alive, a theatre company based in Salem, Massachusetts.

Nicholas moved to the DMV in May of 2020; he currently teaches English and advises the Film Production Club at Newport Mill Middle School in Kensington, Maryland. He directed She Kills Monsters at Lindale Middle School in May of 2023.
